[<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit1">1</xref>]. </p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Compulsive overeating disorder (COD, overeating associated with other psychological causes) is one of the most common eating disorders and is associated with significant concomitant somatic diseases, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, heart failure, coronary heart disease, etc. According to numerous studies, COD can occur as a comorbid nosology in mental disorders: affective and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, etc. [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit1">1</xref>]. Thus, the coexistence of compulsive overeating and other mental disorders is a common fact in medical practice, but the results of scientific research remain rather uninformative and contradictory [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit1">1</xref>].The aim of the work: to analyze some data from literary sources on the issue of comorbidity of compulsive overeating and other mental disorders with the analysis of a clinical case from practice.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>компульсивное переедание</kwd><kwd>психические расстройства</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>compulsive overeating</kwd><kwd>mental disorders</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Garcia, G.
