<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the current work we examined the role of lung biopsy in the diagnosis and evaluation of the progressive fibrotic phenotype in 80 patients with interstitial lung diseases. Morphological patterns with different inflammatory and fibrotic characteristics have been identified. The identified differences were correlated with the clinical data of 2 groups of patients with progressive fibrosis (n = 42) and a favorable course (n = 38). The morphological characteristics of a pattern with a probable progressive phenotype of pulmonary fibrosis in patients with interstitial lung diseases were determined. This has practical implications for patient management.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>интерстициальные легочные болезни</kwd><kwd>прогрессирование фиброза</kwd><kwd>биопсия легких</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>interstitial lung diseases</kwd><kwd>progression of fibrosis</kwd><kwd>morphogenesis</kwd><kwd>lung biopsy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено при финансовой поддержке БРФФИ, № договора М23КИТГ-002 (№ ГР 20230882)</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">An official American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society statement: update of the international multidisciplinary classification of the idiopathic interstitial pneumonias / W.
