Магний играет важную роль в функционировании различных органов и систем на клеточном и ферментативном уровнях. По распространенности в клетке он находится на втором месте среди катионов, а в организме – на четвертом. Несмотря на важность, ему не всегда уделяется должное внимание в клинической практике по сравнению с другими электролитами, такими как натрий, калий и кальций. Гипомагниемия может привести ко многим клиническим проявлениям, некоторые из которых опасны для жизни.

Magnesium plays an important role in different organs and systems at the cellular and enzymatic levels. It is the second most abundant intracellular cation and the fourth most abundant cation in the body. Despite its importance, it still has not received the needed attention in clinical practice in comparison to other electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and calcium. Hypomagnesemia can lead to many clinical manifestations with some being life-threatening.
