<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The primary objective of the study was to assess the amount of fructose consumed by military personnel aged 19–47 years, including both sweetened soft drinks and refined sugar. The average daily intake of added fructose from sweetened beverages was 8 g, while the average daily intake from refined sugar was 12 g, compared to the acceptable daily intake of 15–20 g. Excessive amounts of added fructose were identified in the general military rations. Increased fructose consumption was associated with increased BMI, hyperuricemia, elevated blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and steatohepatitis. The results were compared with current literature. A health bulletin, «The Effect of Fructose on the Human Body,» was designed.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>фруктоза</kwd><kwd>сахароза</kwd><kwd>безалкогольные сладкие напитки</kwd><kwd>метаболические нарушения</kwd><kwd>военнослужащие</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>fructose</kwd><kwd>sucrose</kwd><kwd>soft drinks</kwd><kwd>metabolic disorders</kwd><kwd>military personnel</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Профилактика неинфекционных заболеваний и борьба с ними в Беларуси: Аргументы в пользу инвестирования [Текст] / Всемирная организация здравоохранения. – Копенгаген : Европейское региональное бюро ВОЗ, 2018. – 1 электрон. опт. диск (CD-ROM). – Режим доступа: https://apps.who.int/iris/handle/10665/343255.</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Profilaktika neinfekcionnyh zabolevanij i bor’ba s nimi v Belarusi: Argumenty v pol’zu investirovaniya [Tekst] / Vsemirnaya organizaciya zdravoohraneniya. – Kopengagen : Evropejskoe regional’noe byuro VOZ, 2018. – 1 elektron. opt. disk (CD-ROM). – Rezhim dostupa: https://apps.who.int/iris/handle/10665/343255.</mixed-citation></citation-alternatives></ref><ref id="cit2"><label>2</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Global Burden of Diseases, 2019 [Электронный ресурс]. – Режим доступа: https://vizhub.healthdata.org/gbd-results// (дата обращения: 04.11.2025).</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Global Burden of Diseases, 2019 [Elektronnyj resurs].
