<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Group B Streptococcus (GBS) is the most common etiological pathogens of bacterial neuroinfection in children younger than 3 month old.The median age of 58 patients in our study was 19 (interquartile range: 14–36) days old. The diagnosis of neuroinfection was made in 2 cases (3,4%) on the prehospital phase. The most popular complains were fever (92,8%), loss of appetite (53,6%), irritability (51,8%). In 5,4% of cases the temperature at the onset of disease were normal, in 1 case (1,8%) it wasn’t measured before hospital admission. On admission 26,8% of patients had hemodynamic instability. The incidence of hyperesthesia (84,4%), stiff neck and archet back (53,1%), positive Lesage symptom (90,6%) during hospitalization appeared significantly higher in children being late neonatal period compared to infants (p &lt; 0,05). Infants had toxic shock syndrome significantly higher compared to children being late neonatal period (F = 0,01, р = 0,013).Neuroinfections causing by group B Streptococcus were accompanied by anemia, leukopenia and cytosis in the CSF with neutrophil predominance. At the hospital discharge 50% of children being late neonatal period and 70,5% of infants had adverse consequences of infection. Thus, neuroinfection causing by GBS in children younger than 1 year old is a severe infection which leaded to adverse consequences in more than half patients of our study. Every 5th child in our sample had toxic shock syndrome. The problem with diagnosis infection in children younger than 1 year old associated with nonspecific clinical features of neuroinfection. The most popular clinical features at the onset of neuroinfection causing by GBS were fever (92,8%), bulging of fontanelle (62,5%), high pitched cry (60,7%) and positive Lesage symptom (51,8%). The absent of fever at the onset of disease in younger than 1 year old shouldn’t except neuroinfection.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>стрептококк группы В</kwd><kwd>дети до 1 года</kwd><kwd>нейроинфекция</kwd><kwd>клиническая картина</kwd><kwd>лабораторные показатели</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>group B Streptococcus</kwd><kwd>infant</kwd><kwd>neuroinfection</kwd><kwd>clinical features</kwd><kwd>laboratory findings</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Кудин, А.
