Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of the use of different classes of antihypertensive medications in patients with diabetes mellitus, presents the results of studies of the influence of the main classes of blood pressure medications on the risk of SARS-Cov-2 infection and the severity of the course of COVID-19. Particular attention is paid to the stratification and correction of cardiovascular risk in diabetics, the safety of statins in patients with COVID-19 and the role of fixed combinations, including polypill, in increasing adherence to treatment to reduce cardiovascular risk during a pandemic.
