Investigation of beta-lysine in ent-pathology

Abstract

Otorhinolaryngology is always a topical issue effect of local processes of different nature (both inflectional or non-infectional) the overall reactivity of the organism, the most revealing reaction of the immune system. There are a number of biologically active substances, the change of concentration which reflects changes in the internal environment of a macroorganism in response to the manifestations of inflammatory or allergic reactions, including local character. One of the factors of humoral immunity are beta-lysine. We’ve studied the concentrations of beta-lysine in patients with chronic compensated tonsillitis and perennial allergic rhinitis. It is established that in chronic tonsillitis in remission phase significantly reduced the content of beta-lysine to 12.3±1.4% of that can be regarded as a risk factor for the development metatonsillaris complications. In patients with persistent allergic rhinitis the level of beta-lysine is correlated with the activity of the immune response to allergens.
