The possibility of using cyclooxygenase-2 and survivin for prognostication of disease progression after radical surgical treatment of gastric cancer
Abstract
It is investigated the expression`s levels of cyclooxygenase-2 gene (COX-2) and Survivin (BIRC5) gene in the primary tumor and parietal peritoneum of 52 radically operated gastric cancer patients. It is defined the prognostic cutoff value of COX-2 allowing to predict the disease progression with peritoneal dissemination after radical surgery.
