The results of application of regional catheter thrombolysis in patients with iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis

Abstract

The aims of the study were development and clinical approbation of the method of local catheter thrombolysis in patients with deep vein thrombosis. The immediate and long-term results of the use of the new endovascular technology in nine patients with iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis were studied. Comparative analysis of treatment outcomes with a group of patients who received monotherapy with vitamin K antagonists confirmed the safety and efficacy of catheter thrombolysis in regard to hemorrhagic complications, the incidence of post-thrombotic disease and the degree of its severity.
