The problems of the effect of burning spent oil on health in the Republic of Belarus

Abstract

The development of road transport, energy, industry and service sector in the country inevitably leads to the use of machines and mechanisms containing oil lubricants in their composition as lubricants. These products after their routine use are quite harmful to the environment and, consequently, to human health. Under the influence of the undeveloped system for collecting, transporting and processing used motor and industrial petroleum oils, ever larger volumes of valuable secondary raw materials will be burned uncontrollably, pouring to the ground, which will inevitably lead to deterioration in people‘s health, poisoning of soil and water bodies [7]. The estimation of the dynamics of formation, accumulation and use of used oils, the effect of burning spent oils on human health; the requirements for the collection and storage of used oils in the Republic of Belarus have been studied.
