The role of calcium in the development of endothelial dysfunction

Abstract

The article reflects the modern theory of the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, the influence of calcium deficiency on the development of endothelial dysfunction that develops in preeclampsia. We present our own data on the hypothetical pathogenesis of preeclampsia in pregnant women with calcium deficiency, which reflects perfusion disorders in target organs. Of these changes in the body of pregnant women who are at risk of developing preeclampsia or if it is present, it should be recommended to change the diet, as well as the use of calcium preparations for preventive purposes.
