Shnitko Svetoslav Nikolaevich – Honored Doctor of the Republic of Belarus, Dr. Sci. (Medicine), Professor, retired Colonel of the Medical Service. He headed the military medical faculty of the Belarusian State Medical University from September 10, 2003 to June 30, 2015.

Graduate of the Military Medical Faculty at the Kuibyshev State Medical Institute (1983), the Faculty of Senior Medical Staff of the Military Medical Order of Lenin Red Banner Academy named after S.M. Kirov (St. Petersburg).

He is the editor-in-chief of the journal «Military Medicine», a member of the Council of the Belarusian State Medical University, a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Belarusian State Medical University, a chairperson of the Republican Educational and Methodological Commission for Military Medical Disciplines, a member of the Dissertation Defense Council of the Belarusian State Medical University, a member of the Expert Council of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, and a full member of the Academy of Military Sciences of the Russian Federation. He has been awarded the «Excellent Healthcare Worker of the Republic of Belarus» badge.
