Abstract

The article presents historical information about occupational malignant neoplasms and assesses the current state of the problem of occupational cancer. Data are given on the incidence of malignant neoplasms of different localizations depending on working conditions at carcinogenic enterprises, the ways in which carcinogenic factors affect the body of workers and the duration of their contact with industrial carcinogens, as well as gender differences in occupational cancer incidence in different countries of the world. Original hypotheses about the factors that can influence the increased oncological incidence of oncologists are expressed. Information about the current and developed measures for the prevention of occupational malignant neoplasms is given. A favorable situation in terms of occupational cancer incidence in Belarus is shown.
