Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of different sleep durations on the mental performance of military personnel. To implement it, using content analysis and descriptive-evaluative methods, materials from do-mestic and foreign scientific literature containing evidence and experimental base on the issue under study were studied and summarized. As a result of the studies, it was established that in order to maintain the optimal level of mental performance of military personnel, an 8-hour sleep duration is necessary. Its reduction leads to a proportional decrease in the efficiency of completing assigned tasks.
