The article presents the results of studies of the connection of neurocognitive indices in patients with schizophrenia with acute parkinsonism and akathisia, which resulted from the administration of standardized antipsychotic therapy to patients. It was found that drug-induced akathisia is significantly more often associated with such disorders of neurocognitive functions as impaired active attention, reduced visual short-term memory volume, poor automation and high distractibility. Drug-induced Parkinsonism revealed a connection with the violation of such characteristics of attention as work efficiency and degree of workability, as well as with a reduced volume of verbal short-term memory, a violation of working memory, severe cognitive control and thorough thinking.
