Тhe results of an autopsy study of 25 patients suffering from extreme alimentary obesity (BMI > 40) with hypoalveolar ventilation are presented. It is shown that the characteristic changes in the myocardium of the right and left ventricles are the expansion of the vessels of the microvasculature and the increase in their area with plethora of varying severity.
To study the socio-psychological characteristics of servicemen with adjustment disorder.
Materials and methods. The main group included servicemen (18 people) who were hospi- talized with a diagnosis of «adaptation disorder». The comparison group consisted of persons aged 18–27 years (115 people), in whom mental disorders were excluded.
Results. In the main group, about half of the patients (46.2%) had a low level of stress resistance, among them the proportion of people brought up in single-parent families was half. There was a sta- tistically significant difference between the groups in terms of the “stuck” character trait in individuals with a melancholic type of temperament.
Сonclusions. Рersons brought up in single-parent families with a melancholic temperament type, who have an exacerbation of the “stuck” character trait, are most prone to displaying maladaptive behavior.
Changing stages of the epidemiological process of infection caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus affects the frequency of COVID-19-associated pneumonia. As the frequency of hospitalization increases, the likelihood of developing severe forms of pneumonia also increases. In the pro- cess of changing the epidemiological situation, there is a change in the factors and conditions of development acting on it, however, even during the period of epidemiological well-being, the relevance of COVID-19-associated pneumonia remains, which affects the organization of provision of medical care to patients with pneumonia in hospitals.

The main mechanisms of human psychological defenses are described according to the degree of their maturity and effectiveness. It is suggested that these mechanisms depend on the design of the individual space-time model of a person, primarily on the state of its boundaries. Since a person’s consciousness is formed on the basis of this model, the main characteristic of psychological defense mechanisms is, according to the authors, the degree of conscious control and motivation of a person to overcome psychological problems, in the absence of which a person often develops mental disorders.
The results of the study of the psychological defense mechanisms of a person provide grounds for assuming that his psychological sphere, like the completely mental one, has a spatio-temporal organization and acts as a derivative of an individual spatio-temporal model. It should be empha- sized separately that the latter is a conscious model. Therefore, in our opinion, the main characteris- tic of psychological defenses is the degree of their awareness by a person, which, according to the level of these mechanisms, is divided by us into unconscious, partially conscious and conscious.

The results of assessing the influence of the severity of hyperuricemia, age and gender on the forma- tion of pathological structural and functional remodeling of the left ventricular myocardium in patients with gout and asymptomatic hyperuricemia are presented. The key role of the severity of hyperuri- cemia has been established, as well as the association of eccentric hypertrophy with male gender and the onset of gout before 45 years of age, and concentric hypertrophy with moderate asympto- matic hyperuricemia and female gender. Purine metabolism disorders developed in women 10 years later, against the background of high comorbidity. The prospects for early diagnosis of microcrystalline inflammation to initiate uricostatic therapy for asymptomatic hyperuricemia are discussed.
REVIEWS AND LECTURES
By the WHO data, cardiovascular diseases are the most common causes of death all over the world, thus more four of five death cases from cardiovascular diseases occur as a result of an infarct and a stroke and has premature character. One of the reasons of development of these diseases is the thrombosis, i.e. formation of potentially lethal thrombs in vessels. Therefore working out and application anti- thrombotic agents is priority in medicine. This short review is dedicated to these drugs.
Magnesium plays an important role in different organs and systems at the cellular and enzymatic levels. It is the second most abundant intracellular cation and the fourth most abundant cation in the body. Despite its importance, it still has not received the needed attention in clinical practice in comparison to other electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and calcium. Hypomagnesemia can lead to many clinical manifestations with some being life-threatening.
COMBAT THERAPEUTIC PATHOLOGY
Organophosphorus compounds form fast-acting, persistent, deadly foci with a high specific gravity of extremely severe patients with an unfavorable prognosis. Knowledge of the clinical manifestations of damage by toxic chemicals related to organophosphates, the principles of providing medical care to those affected at the pre-hospital and hospital stages, especially in modern conditions, will help reduce possible losses among military personnel and civilians.
The article presents the substantiation of the main theories of the toxicodynamics of white phosphorus, the pathogenesis of the main syndromes and clinical manifestations. The treatment is substantiated based on the pathogenesis of poisoning and the analysis of publications on the results of treatment of phosphorus burns.
CASE FROM PRACTICE
We have described a clinical case of successful diagnosis and treatment of a 23-year-old man with community-acquired bilateral polysegmental pneumonia of mixed origin, viral (DNA-ade- novirus + from 07/13/23), bacterial, respiratory failure Stage 2, complicated by antiphospholipid syn- drome, category 1, occlusive thrombosis of the small saphenous vein. Described clinical the case illus- trates that it is necessary a comprehensive approach to the assessment of viral pneumonia in military person including an assessment of a hemostasiogram for the purpose of detection thrombosis and antiphospholipid syndrome.
